This is stunning footage of an Airbus A319 Air France from Paris, which landed at Brest, Bretagne during a storm. You can see that the pilot just managed to keep the Airbus level enough for a surprisingly smooth landing. Job well done to the pilot!
Great footage of the now retired Concorde (turbojet-powered supersonic passenger airliner) under heavy crosswinds at Leeds Bradford. It is truly remarkable how powerful the engines were in projecting the Concorde away to safety for another attempt. Hopefully there will be another such engineering marvel!
High winds shake planes landing in Bilbao, Spain 2012
Author: admin | Category: Amazing LandingsI almost thought this footage was a fake, as the plane looks unnaturally blown side to side. I honestly would not want to be this pilot, because of the lack of control in these strong winds. Truly a job well done by the pilot!
If there is one way to test a pilots skill, then landing on missing landing gear would have to be it. These video’s are always interesting to watch, as they make the impossible look possible. Job well done to this pilot from way back in 1997!
Germanwings Airbus A319 – Landing at Stuttgart – Crosswind
Author: admin | Category: Amazing LandingsThis footage is most remarkable for not just the beautiful sunset, but the smooth landing which was skillfully performed just moments after a steady vertical drop was manoeuvred. Definitely a job well done to the Pilot!!
Enjoy this scenic footage with many angles of landing at Saint Barth runway 10. See why this is known to be a risky runway for even the most skilled of pilots.
This is an incredible takeoff stress test performed by a brave pilot for Airbus. It is insane to think that the Airbus took off from the tail and not the wheels. Job well done to the pilot!!
This awesome footage by Simon Lowe of various airliners is a truly awesome collection of close up landings. Enjoy!!
ANA Boeing 787-881 JA801A Crosswind Landing at Osaka
Author: admin | Category: Amazing LandingsWhat looked to be a smooth landing coming in, ended with a slight struggle in touching down with both wheels. These one wheel touch downs are always amusing to watch, as long as they end up with both wheels to the ground. A job well done to the pilot for keeping this under control!
Great footage of a C17 coming in to land on a dirt runway in Afghanistan. That landing was probably not be as easy as it looks, which really kicked up a great amount of dust that still lingered after the landing. Great landing to the pilot!
